Google Pay app will be closed in June, Google has given special information to the users

Google’s payment app will be shut down in the US from June 4, 2024.  The company has taken this decision to promote the Google Wallet app launched in the year 2022.  The company has informed about this through a blog post.

New Delhi: Tech company Google has announced to shut down GPay, a payment app used for online money transactions.  Google’s payment app will be shut down in the US from June 4, 2024.  The company has taken this decision to promote the Google Wallet app launched in the year 2022.  The company has informed about this through a blog post.  The company has advised the users to go to Google Wallet instead of this app.  Now its old version will not work.  There is an old version of ‘GPay’ found on Android Homescream.  These payments and finance are used.

While Indian users of GPay need not worry about it.  The reason is also that it will be closed only in America.  After June 4, this app will only work in India and Singapore.  Standalone app of GPay will not be available in other countries.

Google Peer-to-Peer Payment Shutdown – The app is going to shut down.  In such a situation, Google has also stopped Peer-to-Peer payment.  It has been stated in the blog that, after the Google Pay app is closed in America, American users can neither send nor receive money to other people through the app.  Google Pay users in America have been advised to shift to Google Wallet from the company.  With its help, money can be sent or requested.  Most of the users in America use this.  Google says that they will continue to provide updates to users from time to time.  Google said that millions of people are using Google Pay in more than 180 countries

Google has often shut down its payment apps – this is not the first time, when Google has decided to shut down an app.  The company launched Google Wallet from the year 2011.  Then Google launched the Android Pay app in 2015.  In which Google Wallet was integrated.  Google later discontinued the Google Wallet Card in 2016.  Now the company has once again decided to integrate all its services into Google Wallet.  Google Pay was the first to launch the Tez app in India.  It was later renamed as Google Pay.  It is now available on the Google Pay Store under the name Gpay.  UPI payments can be made through the Google Pay app in India.
