The maximum subsidy will be Rs 78,000
Let us tell you that a maximum subsidy of Rs 78,000 will be given under the PM Surya Ghar free electricity scheme. Please note that according to the official website of the government, under this PM Surya Ghar Yojana, a subsidy of 36 thousand rupees is being given on installing a 3 kilowatt solar rooftop system.
Apart from this, if you install a 2KW rooftop solar panel, a subsidy of Rs 18 thousand will be transferred to your bank account, according to the official website. However, installing a 2 kilowatt solar panel will cost you 47 thousand rupees, out of which you will get a subsidy of 18 thousand rupees.
In this regard, the cost of installing a solar system will be around Rs 29 thousand only and you will also get 300 units of electricity for free.

The benefit of PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Yojana is run for the middle class people, who have electricity problem in their homes and who are not able to pay the electricity bill. Please note that the application process is being explained below, but keep in mind that you should only install solar panels on your roof as per the Govt.
Because if you don’t install solar panel according to government then you can’t get subsidy, government has made rules for this.
In that, when you install a solar rooftop, you must have several meters of space on the roof so that the solar system can be installed safely. To apply for this, you have to go to the official website pmsuryaghar.gov.in and you can apply as per the rules.
